Jennifer is a graduate of State University of New York at Albany with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Social Work and a Master’s Degree in Social Work, focusing on clinical practice.
Jennifer has worked with children, adults and families her entire career. She began her clinical practice at the Schenectady County Department of Social Services, in the fields of Child Protective Services, Foster Care and Adoption. Jennifer has experience in the field of traumatic brain injury, serving as a family therapist in a pediatric rehabilitation center for two years. She recently retired from the Schenectady City School District, after many years as a school social worker.
Her clinical practice has included extensive experience in the areas of parenting, adoption, autism, Attention Deficit Disorder, anxiety, depression and school concerns related to learning and social skills development, behavioral management and trauma informed care. Her practice has included helping children and families with gender and LGBTQ concerns. Jennifer approaches her work from a strength based perspective and a systems framework.
She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, a member of the Strong Families Schenectady Initiative and is acting as the Parent Group Coordinator and Facilitator. Jennifer is past president of the board of the Dake Foundation for Children in Saratoga Springs.
